Our work is hard but joyful! Here are examples of the flowers that will be blooming each season:
Spring: Hellebores, anemones, daffodils, ranunculus, tulips, peonies, snapdragons, sweet peas, poppies, dianthus, sweet alyssum, yarrow, fragrant stock, feverfew, mountain mint, bells of Ireland, bupleurum, euphorbia, cosmos, agrostemma, ammi, bouquet dill, larkspur, foxglove, strawflowers, nigella, scabiosa, iris.
Summer: Lavender, sunflowers, daisies, zinnias, lisianthus, dahlias, salvia, celosias, gomphrena, eucalyptus, ammi, scabiosa, yarrow.
Autumn: Dahlias, sunflowers, zinnias, eucalyptus, celosias, rudbeckias, amaranth, strawflower, flowering kale.
How it Works: This subscription runs the entire season - from April 1 to October 31. For 2024, we are once again offering two weekly pickup/delivery day options: Tuesdays OR Fridays.
For Customer Pickups at Hidden Horseshoe (No Surcharge): By 9am on your selected pickup day, wrapped bouquets or jar arrangements of freshly picked flowers will be available for you to pick up within a designated area of the Hidden Horseshoe Produce stand. No two bunches/arrangements will be exactly the same, but all will be freshly picked and composed of the flowers blooming that particular week. Between 9am and 8pm on your selected pickup day, you or a delegate will pick up your flowers at the Hidden Horseshoe Produce Stand. Thank you for signing in to let us know you have completed your pickup.
For Local Delivery within Wallace, East or West Brandywine, East or West Nantmeal, Uwchlan or Upper Uwchlan ($5/week Surcharge): By 12 pm on your selected delivery day, wrapped bouquets or jar arrangements of freshly picked flowers will be delivered to your home or business. As part of your first delivery, we will issue you a florist's bucket. Prior to 8am on each delivery day, please place this bucket (squeaky clean and filled with fresh cool water) in the location you would like your flowers delivered to. Ideally, this would be in a location out of the sun if you are not going to be home. We will text you to let you know that your flowers have been delivered.
Caring For Your Flowers:
Once your flowers are inside your home, take a quiet moment for yourself, re-cut all stems, place them into fresh water with the included flower preservative, and arrange your blooms in a vase of your choice. For longest vase life, display your flowers away from direct sunlight. Every two days, wash the interior of your vase and refill with fresh, clean water; then re-cut the ends of your stems and re-arrange within your vase. And the ultimate extender – keep them in the fridge at night!
